About this part

2482244 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement common rail injector. Cross-reference numbers: 2482244, 2086663, 2264458, 2419679, 1933613. In a common rail system the injector is the component that actually controls combustion. It holds back fuel at rail pressure and lifts for only a few milliseconds at a time, metering the exact quantity and breaking it into a fine spray so the charge ignites cleanly. When delivery drifts, the engine does not usually stop — it simply starts to burn fuel badly. What owners usually notice first: longer cranking, a rougher idle, more smoke than the engine used to produce, worse consumption, and occasionally a metallic knock that appears under load and clears once the engine is revved. Because those symptoms also point to compression, turbocharger or air-side problems, it is worth confirming before ordering. A return-flow (back-leakage) test across all injectors and a cylinder cut-out test will usually identify both whether the fault is injector-related and which cylinder is responsible. Fit as a matched set rather than singly — one new injector among worn neighbours reproduces the uneven running you set out to cure. New sealing washers every time, clean seats, correct torque, and where applicable, program the injector codes into the ECU once fitted. How we build it: the unit is fully disassembled, cleaned and measured, not simply resealed. Wear items — seals, springs, and where clearance is out of specification the plunger and barrel or nozzle assemblies — are replaced rather than reused. Sealing faces and bores are re-machined back to original clearances, then the unit is calibrated and run on a bench with delivery, return flow, opening pressure and leakage recorded. Anything outside specification does not ship. Test sheets for your specific units are available on request. Covered by a 12-month warranty.
