0445020093 is supplied as a remanufactured replacement fuel injection pump. Cross-reference numbers: 0445020093, 50418807. Application recorded for this part: OEM 50418807. This unit sets both quantity and timing for every cylinder. Modern engines depend on that timing being accurate to well under a degree, so internal wear that would once have been tolerated now shows up as smoke, noise and failed emissions checks. Expect extended cranking especially when hot, hesitant throttle response, smoke that persists rather than clears, timing that drifts or will not hold, and in some cases fuel in the sump or a pump body running unusually hot. Confirm you actually need a pump. Verify supply pressure at the inlet, check for air ingress and restrictions, and have delivery and timing tested on the bench — many 'worn pumps' turn out to be supply faults. Set timing to the engine’s marks and never lever the pump into place — bar the engine over instead. Prime thoroughly, use a new mounting seal, verify lift pump supply pressure, and bleed before starting. A dry start is the fastest way to ruin a sound pump. How we build it: the unit is fully disassembled, cleaned and measured, not simply resealed. Wear items — seals, springs, and where clearance is out of specification the plunger and barrel or nozzle assemblies — are replaced rather than reused. Sealing faces and bores are re-machined back to original clearances, then the unit is calibrated and run on a bench with delivery, return flow, opening pressure and leakage recorded. Anything outside specification does not ship. Test sheets for your specific units are available on request. Covered by a 12-month warranty.
